SALIDA, CO<\/strong> – Salida is a cute little town located in between Canon City and Gunnison on Highway 50 and is the perfect stop for lodging, food and BEER! Everything is pretty much located in a small downtown area so its easy to hit the top three Salida breweries in one evening!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salida Brewing Company<\/a><\/strong>, located on F Street along the Arkansas River. There is free parking here – you can literally get out of your car and plop into the river to cool off or throw your kayak in for an easy roll down the river. If you are confused finding the front door to SBC, just enter the <\/a>Boathouse Cantina<\/strong><\/a> and head to the back room, where you will find the SBC outer deck – the perfect place to sit, relax and watch the river while having some good food and beer. Soulcraft Brewing<\/a><\/strong> is located on Rainbow Blvd (on the edge of downtown), they have a plentiful craft brew and mashup kitchen menu. Along with other ales, IPA’s and lagers, there is a Green Chile Ale that may be really interesting IF you like chile beer! There is indoor (with AC) and outdoor seating (with firepits) and your furry friends are allowed outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of all three breweries, I suggest a stop at Tres Litros Beer Company<\/a><\/strong> located on E Street downtown, a hip mountain brewery designed sustainably with all reclaimed materials. The exposed brick and refurbished woods will make you feel right at home… talk about a labor of love! The name Tres Litros or “three liters” derives from stories of the high country field hands of years past that were given three liters of the local beer in pay for their labor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Tres Litro<\/strong><\/a>s<\/strong><\/a>, you will enjoy live music, an outdoor patio and some really great craft beers while you look up at the big “S” on Tenderfoot Mountain and wonder, “wouldn’t it be an amazing world if we were all paid in BEER”?!!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
