For the big kids – Tap Room and small gift shop (try a flight or two of these interesting and tasty craft brews) inside of the 1969 train caboose and the 1941 railway boxcar or at the outside picnic tables with outdoor charcoal grills and fire pit. Daily food trucks and music (see event schedule at www.whistlehop.com) and a great view of the mountains to boot!
For the little kids – Mini golf, mini frisbee golf and mini bowling as well as bocce ball and soccer.

Only 30 minutes from Whistle Hop (and 20 minutes from Asheville) is BOLD ROCK CIDERY in Mills River, NC. A huge indoor/outdoor venue that makes fresh craft cider with apples harvested from the Blue Ridge

For food inside the brewery, BOLD BITES mobile kitchen is very good… try the apple fritters!! When we arrived at Bold Rock there was a Great Dane standing with his front paws on the bar, patiently awaiting his doggie milk bone treat… needless to say, this place is kid and dog friendly.
